We have a saying here at XCOM Labs, that the best way to predict the future is to INVENT it. It’s been our guiding principle since our inception in 2018 and defines who we are as a team – people who are passionate about changing the world.
It takes a special kind of talent to be able to transform new ideas into reality. For the last three decades, the group of visionaries who founded our company have been advancing leading edge wireless technology. They assembled some of the industry’s best innovators into a team aimed at solving the most complex challenges to unlocking next generation wireless experiences.
Our suite of patented technologies leverages licensed and unlicensed spectrum for seamless and secure mobile extended reality (XR) experiences and ultra-high performance 5G and next generation networks.
“We’re trying to raise performance to a new level, but also increase the set of applications that can use wireless,” said Matt Grob, chief technology officer of XCOM Labs. “So, we’re not just a faster wireless. We’re a better system design end-to-end.”
Our breakthroughs in wireless coverage and capacity will support a new era of innovation in immersive mobile experiences and the growing demand for data-intensive and near real-time applications from location-based entertainment to LiDAR solutions.
But achieving these feats means our team is constantly tapping into the unknown. We’re risk-takers who are passionate about investing in new ideas and the people who invent them. For entry-level engineers, a career at XCOM is an opportunity to be surrounded by some of the best talent in the wireless industry, while helping create products that will ultimately change the world.
“As a new graduate, I’m surrounded by people with incredible knowledge and experience. Anytime I have a question, I’m able to ask and learn from the people around me,” said Joseph Kwee, wireless systems integration and test engineer of XCOM Labs. “In a big company, you would never have the chance to just interact one-on-one with these types of leaders and innovators.”
Like our technology, our headquarters at XCOM Labs is unique in its design. Given the opportunity to roam our halls, it’s easy to see that we’re not big on barriers. Our open environment allows for more meaningful collaboration and makes it possible for our team to thrive.
“If there’s an area that interests you, then there really are no formal barriers,” said Peter Black, chief scientist of XCOM Labs. “We have an open floorplan. So, if conversations are going and you have interest, then you can participate as well. There’s a lot of cross-fertilization here.”
We’re proud of our start-up culture and get-it done mindset. It’s what sets us apart from other companies in this industry and energizes us to think big and establish ourselves as the catalysts for revolutionary change. And we’re always looking for new talent.
